It is helpful if you provide me with information as to what type of help you are looking for as well as your schedule and availability. I typically respond to inquires in a timely fashion during normal business hours. Please know that any email communication with me does not imply a therapy contract and, until client paperwork is complete and an in-person intake underway, I assume no therapeutic responsibility.
It is my preference to have a brief phone conversation with all potential clients so we can get a sense of whether it is a good match and assess availability and scheduling. After initial email contact, a phone conversation will be encouraged.
So much of the success of therapy hinges on the comfort of the therapy relationship so getting to know one another and assessing the “fit” between us is important in the first few sessions. I suggest that you try to commit to coming for a couple of sessions to give it a try.
